Ada beberapa pertimbangan mengapa saya merilis Free Template WordPress. Pertama, tidak dapat diingkari bahwa internet memegang peran penting dalam penyebaran informasi. Dengan merilis template gratis yang diberi nama dan karakter “Indonesia”, saya mengharapkan warga dunia bisa lebih mengenal Indonesia.

Kedua, Blog sedang mengalami booming luar biasa. Setiap hari ratusan bahkan ribuan blog baru bermunculan, dan WordPress adalah salah satu mesin yang paling populer dan paling banyak digunakan. Maka tidak salah, atau sudah semestinya, saya mendompleng popularitas Worpdress sebagai media kampanye dan promosi tentang Indonesia. Seandainya saja ada 1000 blog menggunakan template saya, itu artinya saya sudah ikut mengenalkan Indonesia paling tidak kepada 1000 pemilik blog. Jumlahnya akan semakin besar bila dihitung dengan jumlah pengunjung blog yang jumlahnya bisa ratusan ribu bahka jutaan orang.

Membuat  dan memiliki blog sangatlah mudah. Kita bisa menggunakan layanan free maupun yang berbayar. Untuk layanan free, kita bisa menggunakan Blogspot, WordPress.Com, DagDigDug, dll. Khusus untuk layanan berbayar, yang harus disediakan adalah nama domain dan hosting. Saat ini, ada banyak sekali layanan hosting yang murah tapi punya kualitas yang cukup bagus.

Keempat, dengan membuat free template wordpress, saya berharap para web designer lain yang punya kemampuan jauh diatas saya ikut tergerak untuk mempromosikan Indonesia dengan merilis hasil karyanya secara cuma-cuma. Jika kita konsisten meluncurkan template dan hasil karya lain yang “Sangat Indonesia” maka bukan hal yang mustahil citra Indonesia yang buruk seperti gudangnya koruptor, sarang teroris, akan terkikis. Negara lain pun akan menaruh rasa hormat yang luar biasa terhadap Indonesia.

Kelima, dengan merilis template secara cuma-cuma, itu artinya saya telah mempraktekkan ilmu personal branding dan online marketing. Selain itu, saya juga bisa menjaga dan mempertahankan spirit berbagi yang merupakan kunci dan motivasi saya tetap update blog.
